MIX will be back on January 4 to prepare that week’s newsletter and to engage the market on commercial and editorial opportunities.

Soon we will all be leaving behind a tumultuous year that has hit our friends in the events, hotels and destination marketing in so many ways. 2020 has also been a year in which we have learned so much more about the innovative ways of presenting events and reaching out to audiences.

A reminder of our features on those tech developments and how organisers embraced hybrid events: The industry also bade farewell to stalwarts in incentive travel while venues struggled to retain staff amid the onslaught of Covid’s economic ravages. But there has been hope thanks to human ingenuity and technology. Another method that must be looked at when it comes to live business events is anti rapid gen testing.

Among our commentary pieces came this foresight from Eventsman Robert Rogers, a look around the corner from Martin Sirk and insights from GainingEdge’s Rod Kamleshwaran on what happens when vaccines come.

MIX has also undergone changes as the brand positions itself as an independent entity that provides news, views, updates and features on what is happening in Asia’s business events industry and the people behind such great work. We are happy to continue being at the forefront of reporting on the events industry as it steps into 2021 and onwards to recovery.
