Greater Bay to sparkle under Asia-World Expo deal with UFI

HONG KONG’s Asia World-Expo signed a major agreement with UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry – a move that is set to raise the Greater Bay Area’s profile among the world’s trade-show organisers.

Chan and Dickinson sign after cutting the Diamond Sponsorship deal

The Diamond Sponsorship signing took place during UFI’s 2024 Global CEO Summit in Amsterdam and comes as the association’s Asia Pacific Conference opened March 7-8, at The Parisian Macao.

AsiaWorld-Expo CEO, Irene Chan, signed the agreement with UFI president Geoff Dickinson. The Diamond Sponsorship is the highest tier of UFI sponsorship available and enables AWE to gain year-round promotion and visibility across all UFI events and activities.

“UFI provides an unparalleled platform for visionary leaders and passionate individuals in the exhibition industry to connect and collaborate,” said Chan.

“Our partnership with UFI represents a pivotal move to reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as an essential hub for international exhibitions, as well as AsiaWorld-Expo’s strategic location which enables more exhibitors and organisers from around the globe to access and capitalise on the vast potential and promising growth of the China Greater Bay Area.”

UFI president Dickinson said: “We are thrilled to have this support from AWE for the coming years. It will allow us to invest more in some UFI projects and activities that benefit our industry around the world as we are closing into UFI’s 100-year-anniversary in 2025.”

AsiaWorld-Expo shares the UFI Diamond sponsor partnership with Visit Qatar and Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau’s MICE Thailand brand.
