Sassi-Bucsit to head global communications role with brand experiential company – switching from China role with Vok Dams

CHINA business events veteran Katja Sassi-Bucsit has joined brand experiential agency Uniplan as its head of international communications.

She worked in various leadership roles in mainland China for the past 15 years with her most recent post as general manager for Vok Dams China.

Sassi-Bucsit will directly to Europe CEO, Rüdiger Maeßen, and will work with the agency’s management board around owner and group CEO Christian Zimmermann and Sonny Chen, Uniplan’s China managing director.

She replaces Olaf Pempel who is leaving the agency after a year to pursue a solo venture as PR consultant in Austria.

Sassi-Bucsit is an anthropologist and sinologist who has lived in China for more than 15 years holding leadership roles in consulting, management, events and communications.

In her new role for Uniplan, the agency said Sassi-Bucsit would also have a special focus on brand positioning and the further development of internal and external communication in China.
