Mynext kicks off – Malaysia wows China incentive group

Members of Malaysian associations gathered for a day of knowledge exchange and networking at the second annual Malaysia Association Next (Mynext) conference on October 27.

The one-day event took place at VE Hotel and Residence, Bangsar South, and featured presentations on leadership-oriented, management and innovation topics, such as ‘strategic stakeholder relations’ and ‘embracing digital technology’.

Speakers included Jason Yeh, founder and CEO of leading Taiwanese meeting solution provider GIS Group, and Craig J Selby, director of Metanoia, a specialist reputation and change management consultancy.

Meanwhile, Malaysia is also making its mark on the incentive travel circuit, with more than 600 delegates welcomed for a four-day event.

Xian based health and advisory company, Xi’an 38Fule, brought 652 delegates to Malaysia for 38FULE Employee Malaysia Fantastic Tour, which took place October 20-24.

The group attended a one-day conference at Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) followed by three days of incentive activities organised by local Destination Marketing Company (DMC) Mayflower.

"To date, we have generated a staggering RM433 million (approx US$103m) in economic value with a record breaking of 28,990 participants in attendance," says Ho Yoke Ping, Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) general manager.

"Xi’an 38 Fule Health is estimated to bring in RM4 million (just under US$1m) in economic impact to Malaysia. This has benefited our country, local hotels, suppliers and retail outlets tremendously."
