Singapore adds grand recipe to food fest

Blake Harris Entertainment to lead creative transformation of city tourism board’s premier culinary event as it restyles festival format with theatrical highlights

SINGAPORE FOOD FESTIVAL is to become a series of large and small “bespoke multi-genre events” with the creative transformation led by the Blake Harris Entertainment production agency.

A completely refreshed festival format will replace “the usual festival village”, Singapore Tourism Board (STB) said in a statement announcing the October 1-31 event. “Instead, the focus is on curating immersive experiences set in iconic locations and uniquely Singaporean offerings that cater to visitors of all ages, with each event designed to provide a memorable dining experience,” STB said.

Two signature events at iconic Singapore locations will see renowned guest chefs offer “immersive and grand culinary experiences” as part of “large-scale theatrical spectaculars”. Future Food takes place at the Marquee nightclub, October 10, followed The Long Table, Chijmes Hall, October 17-18.

This year’s festival theme is A Celebration of Old and New built around Heritage, Contemporary, and Innovation to celebrate Singapore’s culinary history – from time-honoured traditions to the latest food trends.

“The reimagined Singapore Food Festival 2024 presents an opportunity to captivate global food enthusiasts with an immersive showcase of Singapore’s dynamic F&B scene,” said Guo Teyi, Singapore Tourism Board’s Director of Retail & Dining.

Uniquely popping up
In addition to the Signature Events, SFF 2024 will offer other event formats including Unique Events and Pop-Up Events.
Unique Events: These one-of-a-kind events will take place in some of Singapore’s top restaurants and bars, offering exclusive, bespoke and fully immersive culinary experiences supported by Blake Harris Entertainment’s creative team.
Pop-Up Events: Popping up in some of the Singapore’s most popular locations, these fun and family friendly showcases provide audiences a bite-sized taste of what’s on offer at SFF, making gourmet experiences available to a wider audience.

Blake Harris Entertainment (BHE), a global events agency experienced in developing highly acclaimed, immersive experiences is tasked with delivering the creative changes.
