Porterhouse by Laris, Hong Kong

WHAT Renowned Michelin chef and restaurateur David Laris dishes up a contemporary re-interpretation of classic steaks and seafood. Prime cuts of meat are visible in the Meat Locker that will satisfy the most seasoned of carnivorous palates. The restaurant’s interior is all angular designs and mineral tones, while the floor-to-ceiling windows present spectacular views of the bustling Lan Kwai Fong entertainment district. Look to the carefully curated wine list or cigar menu for a little indulgence.

Aziamendi 88 at Mandarin Oriental 

WHAT The Mandarin Grill at Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur will be temporarily transformed into pop-up restaurant Aziamendi 88 to bring a Basque gastronomic experience from Spanish three Michelin-star chef Eneko Atxa. Lunch is five or eight courses, while dinner is an eight or 12 course affair. Art pieces from Wei-Ling Gallery, Malaysia’s leading art gallery, will also be exhibited at the venue. Reservations are highly recommended.

Bread Street Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay

WHAT Modelled after its London counterpart, Bread Street Kitchen Marina Bay Sands will serve a casual British European menu with fresh seasonal produce in a lively industrial warehouse-designed restaurant and bar. Enjoy the likes of shepherd’s pie, fish and chips, and the BSK burger with a cocktail or two by the waterfront.

Motif Restaurant & Bar

WHAT The new Motif Restaurant & Bar offers farm-to-table French cuisine in a luxurious, relaxing environment. The restaurant has three atmospheres; The Social Salon is the main dining area where guests can indulge in fresh seasonal dishes by head chef Hiroyuki Asano; The Living Room bar area offers casual lunch, afternoon tea, snacks and cocktails; and The Gastronomic Gallery offers interactive culinary experiences with buffets and tapas. Designed by renowned Hong Kong based architect André Fu, the restaurant features copper mineral tones, handmade furniture and pendant lighting. Guests can also enjoy views of the iconic Tokyo Station.

WHAT At this new Bangkok restaurant and deli bar, Michelin-starred chef James Noble reinvents Italian cuisine with 100 per cent Thai ingredients. With an emphasis on freshness and flavour, Italics distinguishes itself through its use of organic, sustainable ingredients, as well as their wine selection and mixology. The restaurant is big on artisanal touches, so expect food served in copper pans and cast iron skillets.
