AUSTRALASIAN event management company Arinex has further expanded into New Zealand by acquiring Auaha with a commitment to maintaining to agency’s links to Māori culture.

In an announcement released today by Arinex, a spokesman said Auaha as a prominent creative events agency and PCO, which has been operating in New Zealand for more than two decades. The deal was described as a strategic move by Arinex to expand operations by integrating Auhua’s expertise.

“By integrating the expertise, Māori cultural competency and insights of Auaha, Arinex aims to deliver an enhanced value proposition and unparalleled event management solutions to its clients across Australasia,” Walker said.

The combined strengths of both companies will enable Arinex to offer a broader range of solutions, expand into new markets, and drive greater efficiencies, the company said.

Sandra Julian, founder and director of Auaha, added: “After 23 years of operation, we’re thrilled to join forces with Arinex and embark on this exciting new chapter of growth and opportunity.”

She said it was “paramount to ensure” that Auaha clients were in safe hands with a fully competent PCO capable of fulfilling existing obligations and contractual commitments to event clients.

“Under the leadership of CEO Nicole Walker, the Auaha team will leverage the extensive experience and expertise of the broader Arinex team, enabling us to deliver exceptional value to our clients. This commitment also ensures we maintain our steadfast dedication to cultural integrity,” Julian said.

The deal represents Arinex’s first acquisition since joining forces with event management software company Delegate Connect last year. Arinex plans to roll Auaha into its own brand, which sits within The Arinex Group alongside Arinex Live, a full-service technical production arm.

Under the plan, Auaha staff will have moved to Arinex in the first week of May with the full handover of Auaha clients scheduled later in the month.
