Korea’s Kintex and HK’s AsiaWorld-Expo sign MoU

HONG KONG’s AsiaWorld-Expo and Korea International, Exhibition Centre near Seoul have agreed to explore more ways in which they can work together and develop business events activity across Asia Pacific.

A strategic partnership agreement was signed in Seoul by Irene Chan, chief executive of AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE), and her counterpart at Kintex, Jae Yul Lee. Jack So, the chairman of Airport Authority Hong Kong, and Jae Won Lyu, vice chairman of Kintex, were also present.

The MoU covers the exchange of business development strategies, exploring business opportunities and marketing strategies, better employee training and visits to each venue.

AWE and Kintex have agreed to promote expo and cultural events under a “cross-city power of alliance” with mutual benefits for both venues and bringing economic and trade development across the Asia-Pacific region.

“AWE has maintained close cooperation with the exhibition and entertainment industries in Korea, having successfully hosted numerous remarkable exhibitions and concerts which attracted a large number of international visitors,” said Chan.
