DIANE CHEN, general manager of the Shenyang New World EXPO, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors and as vice-chair of the Asia-Pacific Chapter of UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.
The three-year mandate will begin after the association’s annual General Assembly which will be held ahead of UFI’s Global Congress on November 1 in Las Vegas.
Chen is also a member of the Board of Shenyang New World EXPO (Management) that operates EXPO, the premier exhibition and meeting venue in northeast China. She has been active in UFI for nine years, supporting the association’s mission and driving its development programs within China.

UFI is an association of the world’s tradeshow organisers and exhibition centre operators, in addition to national and international exhibition associations, and selected partners of the exhibition industry.
The association also represents more than 50,000 exhibition industry employees globally and works closely with its 60 national and regional association members. More than 820 member organisations in 85-plus countries are members while around 1,000 international trade fairs bear the UFI-approved label, a quality guarantee for visitors and exhibitors.
