SEOUL Convention Bureau’s virtual events platform has been upgraded with four venues joining to give organisers more choice with an improved system to make the service even more user friendly.
The 3D Virtual Seoul 2.0 allows planners to personally customise their events without going through IT staff.
The upgrades come at no extra cost for users and have been made to widen Seoul’s destination marketing as a global city for hybrid conferences and exhibitions.

“The first version of Virtual Seoul received much attention locally and globally as an innovative case of destination marketing while travelling was strictly restricted,” said Jihyun Kim, Seoul Tourism Organisation director.
Kim said hybrid events were by now nothing new, but Seoul has been a pioneer in the field as the business events industry sought to live with Covid.
Coex, the Republic of Korea’s foremost exhibition and conference venue, joins Nodeul Island – a unique venue on the Hangang river – Seoul City Hall and Seoul Tourism Plaza on the upgraded platform. Nodeul, the city hall and the plaza have outdoor event space.

Functions for exhibitions such as scheduling for business meetings, exchanging digital business cards, and managing a booth by adding promotional videos and brochures have also been upgraded or added to Virtual Seoul 2.0.
