TWO EXCLUSIVE post-conference and incentive tour experiences have been unveiled by Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) under the MaxiMICE Thailand brand.
Delegates and buyers attending a recent trade show in Bangkok travelled north after the event to experience tours around Chiang Rai and Khao Yai. The selection of both areas was timely as Chiang Rai in northern Thailand was certified in mid-September as a new MICE City of Thailand, while Khao Yai lies in Pak Chong District of Nakhon Ratchasima province, a selected site of International Horticultural Exposition or Korat Expo 2029.
The Chiang Rai “Farm to Cup” Journey was organised by the Association of Thai Tour Operators and combined the highlight of what Chiang Rai is noted for – premium tea and coffee enterprises – with Akha ethnic gastronomy. Tea plantations, mountainous scenery and northern Thai “Lanna” culture provided the backdrop.
