The business of live events took centre stage at Live Matters, as 400 industry leaders gathered under the World Circus Big Top at the AIA Carnival along Central harbourfront in Hong Kong.
Tomos Griffiths, Creative Director of CPG Concepts, gave full voice to the event’s opening with songs from Phantom of the Opera before “ringmaster” Jasper Donat MC’d the day’s proceedings of live entertainment discussions amongst candy cane thrones and carnival-style props of dinosaurs, aliens, astronauts and wild but fun animals.
“But don’t be fooled by the playful setup,” a spokesperson from organisers Branded said. “Business was the name of the game, with serious discussions around the latest trends in live events, the very bright future of Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, and the importance of partnerships and collaborations.”
Speakers taking to the Big Top circus ring included James Farndon, CEO of Hong Kong China Rugby; Arnold Lau, of InvestHK, who gave a welcoming address.
The grand finale was a chat with the multi-platinum Danish artist, Christopher, before he took to the stage at Live at the Big Top.
Dave Andrews says:
Live Matters was an excellent event. Many thanks to Branded and Great Entertainment.
