COMPUTER EXPERTS who specialise in user interaction and the technological wizardry of what appears on countless device screens worldwide could not be more graphic in professing their faith in Tokyo.
The 17th ACM SIGGRAPH Conference and Exhibition on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques in Asia (SIGGRAPH Asia 2024), the largest event of its type in Asia Pacific is coming back to Tokyo International Forum.
A successful bid led by Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Japanese Bid Committee, the Business Events Team at TCVB, local sponsors and supported by Tokyo Metropolitan Government sees the conference scheduled to return in December 2024.
SIGGRAPH Asia has been held four times in Japan: Yokohama in 2009, Kobe in 2015, and Tokyo in 2018 and 2021.
TCVB said the record-breaking results of the conference and exhibition in 2018 were outstanding across the board, with 9,735 participants from 59 countries and regions, and support from 118 exhibitors and sponsors.
The success was followed by SIGGRAPH Asia 2021, marking the first hybrid edition in ACM SIGGRAPH’s history. The event proved to be an outstanding success despite pandemic restrictions.
