Australia-NZ incentive organisers upbeat on 2022

INCENTIVE-TRAVEL organisers in Australia and New Zealand are anticipating 2022 to be “one of the biggest on record” as international borders reopen, according to the regional chapter of SITE.

Colette Baini, president of the Society of Incentive Travel Excellence for Australia and New Zealand (SITE ANZ), says all signs are pointing to business making a comeback next year.

Baini’s comments come as SITE ANZ prepared for its inaugural one-day conference, Incentive Live, at the Shangri-La Sydney on February 14. The event is aimed at giving industry stakeholders and new players in the business to “make or renew key contacts and derive insights from leaders in their respective fields”.

“We expect attendees will leave the conference energised, armed with a strategic plan to prepare for the rapid return of live incentives,” Baini added.

“This line-up of thought-provoking speakers has been curated from a range of industries to inspire, motivate and disrupt. You will walk away from this event determined to implement their insights into your business.”

Selina Sinclair, global managing director of Pacific World and now CEO of experiential events company REALM, will emcee the conference. Speakers include Ben Crowe, an expert in connections and storytelling; Joost Baker, a TEDx presenter and the creator behind venues such as Greenhouse by Joost and Silo by Joost;, and Tash Mennon, managing director of the MASH agency.

Crowe was international director of sports marketing before working with organisations that want to focus on authenticity, vulnerability and connection to create a better culture and competitive advantage that balances achievement with fulfilment.

Bakker’s expertise in sustainability aligns strongly with SITE’s global focus on the sustainable delivery of incentive travel rewards, while Menon will pose the question of how brands can learn to work more efficiently, flexibly and transparently in solving creative problems.

Incentivise Live will also host Vision 2050, an interactive session presented by SITE Young Leaders to generate industry discussion and debate.
