THERE’S a changing of the guard taking place in Macau. Nothing that should worry the authorities – but a new spectacle being launched at The Londoner Macao modelled on the daily ritual outside Buckingham Palace, a residence of the King of England.
Hasbos Entertainment collaborated with the Cotai Strip property to create Changing of the Guard at the Crystal Lobby atrium of the London-themed hotel.
The ceremony will be performed six days a week with more than 20 performers including trumpeters and drummers appearing across multiple levels, says a spokesman for Sands Resorts Macao.

Modern twists on the traditional pageantry include special effects, upbeat music and dynamic images of the guards on 12 moving LED displays across three levels.
Hasbos Entertainment has produced numerous award-winning live entertainment projects all over the world, including Universal Studios Hollywood’s Grand Opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
The musical score for Changing of the Guard was composed by Los Angeles-based Tim Heintz whose works are heard on television, films and at theme parks including Disney Parks and Universal Studios.
