Taiwan makes ICCA gains

Taiwan has gained six places in the 2014 ICCA Rankings moving from 33rd to 28th place worldwide and from 6th to 4th in Asia for the number of ICCA-recognised association meetings.

This is Taiwan’s highest ICCA ranking since 2010, with a record 92 association meetings held in Taipei and an additional 23 held in the harbour city of Kaohsiung, which won 17th place for association meetings in Asia in 2014. Smaller Taiwanese cities such as Taichung, Hsinchu and Tainan have kept their current ICCA rankings.

Meet Taiwan has launched two new schemes this year to encourage groups to choose Taiwan with subsidies of up to US$3,000 on accommodation, flights and dining. Groups over 20 are being attracted with packages inclusive of award ceremonies, teambuilding activities, meeting and training facilities.
