Singapore set to attract large-scale incentives in 2015

Ranked among Asia’s most popular MICE destinations, Singapore will welcome five landmark events in 2015, expected to attract over 30,000 business attendees.

These include the Oriflame Diamond Conference 2015; USANA Asia & Pacific Convention 2015, BestWorld Convention 2015, Forever Living Global Rally 2015 and Jeunesse Global Expo Unite Annual World Conference. Convention centres Marina Bay Sands, Suntec Singapore and Singapore Expo will host the conferences, and follow with incentive experiences ranging from heritage walks in Singapore’s Peranakan community to trips to Sentosa Island’s Universal Studios and S.E.A Aquarium.

Sentosa Island welcomes a set of new attractions for incentive groups, such as the Trick Eye Museum themed around optical illusions, Madame Tussauds Singapore and the Royal Albatross, a luxury tall ship available for charter along Singapore’s coastline and to outlying islands.

Commenting on Singapore’s merits as a meetings destination, Agnieszka Suliborska, Conference and Event Manager of Oriflame Cosmetics, said, “Singapore is a fabulous place to host large-scale events. The quality of hotels, diverse entertainment options and the quality of customer service are key factors in helping us choose Singapore as a destination to anchor our events.”

Chang Chee Pey, Executive Director for Europe, South Asia, Middle East and Africa, Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau said, “2015 is going to be an exciting year as we stride towards Singapore’s Golden Jubilee, and this will give business travellers additional reasons to revel in the Singapore spirit.”

Singapore celebrates 50 years of independence together with the 50th anniversary of the Singapore Tourism Board in 2015.
