Hong Kong to welcome 1,800 for sustainability conference

Hong Kong is set to welcome some 1,800 environmental experts and academics for the world conference of the Sustainable Built Environment (SBE) conference series – the pre-eminent international conference series on sustainable building and construction.

The World Sustainable Built Environment Conference 2017 Hong Kong (WSBE17), jointly organised by The Construction Industry Council (CIC) and the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), is taking place at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from June 5-7, 2017. 

The series is held on a three-year cycle, with Hong Kong hosting the world conference of the 2015-2017 cycle. 

Clearwater Communications has been named as the Professional Conference Organiser, and will be responsible for campaign marketing and promotion, sponsorship and exhibition promotion and management, conference management, event planning and execution.

The three-day conference programme features a plenary session with keynote and roundtable speakers, over 100 parallel sessions and regional forums, a networking luncheon, gala dinner and business matching. 

An exhibition will be held alongside the conference, providing a platform for leading companies to demonstrate some of their latest products and solutions. 

An International Youth Competition has also been organised to encourage young people to engage with issue of the sustainable future. A total of 10 shortlisted teams will present to a panel and their works will be displayed at the exhibition. 

Delegates will also have the option to visit award-winning green buildings in Hong Kong and Shenzhen or take an eco-tour of Hong Kong over the course of the event.
