The move comes as mega events and festivals are among the products targeted as Hong Kong’s visitor economy recovers from Covid restrictions and officials seek to restore the city’s international image following the social unrest of 2019.
“Mega events are an important platform for promoting Hong Kong’s tourism, as they showcase the unique appeal and offer diverse experiences to visitors,” said Dane Cheng, HKTB executive director.
