Business event bosses call in experts to tackle Greater Bay

CROSS-CULTURAL communication, big merger deals in the events industry, sustainability and the Pearl Delta’s “Greater Bay Area” are among the topics to be tackled at the HKECIA Conference on June 1.

Big names and analysts on the environmental, business and communication fronts will be speaking at the Hong Kong Exhibition & Convention Industry Association Conference at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Former Hong Kong government official for the environment, Christine Loh, will address the ways in which business event organisers, venues, suppliers and the government can do more to create a sustainable industry.

M&A expert Bjoern Kempe will help the attendees understand the consequences of a busy year for mergers and acquisitions in the exhibition’s industry, and what this means for event organisers and suppliers.

Amanda Galsworthy, a former translator to three French presidents, four British prime ministers and a coach to CEOs on public speaking will provide insights into cross-cultural intelligence and intercultural communication.

As event planners await the opening of the HZMB (Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge), the UFI’s Mark Cochrane will chair a panel of experts that will discuss the Greater Bay economic area that the bridge may bring about.
