GainingEdge CEO Jon Sivertson is stepping down at the end of the month – prompting a worldwide search by the business events consultancy for a new chief executive.
Senior partner Mike Williams is currently serving as acting CEO until a permanent replacement can be appointed, according to a joint statement issued by Siverston (above) and GainingEdge.
Siverston began with GainingEdge in October 19 with a background in infrastructure consultancy roles including posts with KPMG China and PWC in Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore and Canada.

Gary Grimmer, GainingEdge’s executive chairman, expressed the company’s appreciation for Sivertson’s contributions to its success. “We are sorry to see Jon leave. He led us through the challenges presented by the Covid global pandemic and helped us make this last year the best ever results in our 20-year history. We will miss Jon and wish him every success in his future endeavours.”
Siverston added: “I’ve greatly enjoyed the work I’ve done at GainingEdge, and the great people we have that makes the company such a powerful force in our business. I’ll greatly miss GainingEdge, but I am also looking forward to the new challenges I have set for myself.”
