New forum for Asia’s meeting, event and incentive planners

Editors are used to having their comments aired, but there is a reason why we at MIX feel others should have a say too.

Taking prominence in our new fortnightly newsletter are views and analysis from people in the industry directed at our expanding community of readers. This community is an audience of decision makers and stakeholders who purchase, plan and deliver meetings, business events and incentive travel across Asia and beyond.

We’ve listened to your thoughts and views about how publications in this field ought to serve their audiences. Informative and entertaining commentary and analysis that make for successful meetings, events and incentive gatherings have been high on the list.

Instead of viewing the industry in Asia in dire need of expensive “education” from industry veterans, we at MIX are endeavouring to follow your lead by creating a forum for the exchange of incisive ideas, comment and knowledge. Views can range from how to maximise the capabilities of a destination and heighten the value of social media for your events, to sharpening your team’s use of content at live brand events or a good old rant upon how too many are overlooking the value of incentive travel.

There is another vital sphere to the usability of mixmeetings.com – and it comes in the form of pictures and digital video. Our website and magazine’s Show Off section enables venues, planners and even clients themselves to post imagery from an event to share with the MIX audience.

This is just one further way in which we are responding to the views of our readers by encouraging that sense of community and industry engagement you say make this industry so special to work in.

Do share your views with me on how we can better serve you, whether it’s a comment on our product, or ways in which you can get your views across to our audience. I look forward to hearing from you.
