THE ST REGIS Singapore has unveiled its newly redesigned John Jacob Ballroom, positioning the luxury venue as a strategic asset in the city state’s push to triple the number of business event visitors.
“As Singapore sets its sights on tripling MICE tourism by 2040, we are proud to contribute meaningfully to that vision with a space that is both timeless and future-ready,” said Allen Howden, General Manager of The St. Regis Singapore.

Singapore Tourism Board’s plans involve expanding the scale and impact of business events, enhancing venue capabilities, and fostering innovation in event formats and experiences
The redesign, led by FBEYE International, transforms the ballroom into a grand garden pavilion inspired by the nearby Singapore Botanic Gardens. Two skylights now crown the venue, flooding the space with natural light during the day and creating a warm, ambient glow in the evening—ideal for both corporate functions and elegant social gatherings.
The John Jacob Ballroom has long been a preferred venue for high-profile events, including state functions and iconic weddings. The latest refurbishment aims to preserve that legacy while enhancing the venue’s appeal to modern event planners and international delegates.
Spanning 710 square metres, the pillarless ballroom can accommodate up to 400 guests for formal dinners or 500 in a theatre-style setup. It can also be divided into two soundproof spaces for smaller events. Technological enhancements include two high-resolution LED walls measuring 9.6 by 5.28 metres, ten intelligent lighting systems for mood control, and a state-of-the-art sound system designed for professional-grade clarity.

Design elements throughout the space evoke a refined garden aesthetic. Climbing vine motifs, floral-inspired light fixtures, and a custom carpet in tones of aged stone, tangerine, sage, and olive contribute to the ballroom’s distinctive character. Crystal chandeliers reflect the shifting daylight, adding a dynamic visual element.
The foyer now features a built-in bar designed for live cocktail showmanship, adding a theatrical touch to pre-function gatherings. Adjacent to the ballroom, a new VIP Room offers a private sanctuary for guests of honour, complete with plush seating, ambient lighting, and botanical accents.
To further support Singapore’s MICE strategy, The St. Regis Singapore has introduced its “Meetings Reimagined” offer. This package provides planners with a range of privileges based on minimum spend, including suite upgrades, a private Bloody Mary cocktail experience for up to 30 guests, and a one-hour canapé reception with free-flowing beverages.
