WHAT A SHOWGROUND
Sydney Showground brought an extra glow when it hosted gala dinners across two nights for more than 6,600 Jeunesse Global distributors from China. The skincare product company’s top performers enjoyed an evening at The Dome, Sydney Olympic Park, in an event pulled together by the showground and Triumph Leisure Solutions.
Members of Skal International always give a rapturous welcome to local performers wherever they convene. And Macau was no exception at the 47th Skal Asia Area Congress at Fisherman’s Wharf when local folk dancers celebrating the region’s Chinese and Portuguese heritage entertained delegates at the welcome dinner.
Chefs at Malaysia’s leading conference centre, bureau officials and the Professional Culinaire Association joined forces to prepare a recipe for success as Worldchefs Congress & Expo (WACS) 2018 arrived.
DRESS TO IMPRESS
Riviera Events took more than 400 guests on a sensory journey full of entertainment for the grand opening of the Renaissance Hangzhou Northeast. After traditional performances, including Yue Opera and drumming, heads really turned when a singer took centre stage dressed in a flowing silk skirt mapped with 3D imagery.
BANG A GONG
After Sarawak Convention Bureau moved into new offices in Kuching the great moment was heard all around when a traditional gong was banged to herald a new era for business events in the Malaysia Borneo rainforest state.
THAI ROYAL SILK
Thai Airways flew into Japan for a Royal Silk Night at the Thai Residence hosted by the kingdom’s ambassador to Tokyo. Jazz group The Sound of Siam performed on an evening to promote loyalty programmes to VIP guests.
