BUSINESS EVENT travellers visiting Yokohama are being encouraged to get an enhanced taste for the Japanese port city with an English-language guidebook that has just been published.
Yookohama City Visitors Bureau wants has produced EAT Yokohama targeted at overseas business travellers attending conferences and events in the city.
Restaurants with English-speaking staff as well as vegan and halal eateries are introduced. The guidebook contains over 20 pictograms so readers can easily identify what each outlet has to offer.

Eat Yokohama is also available through a dedicated website, which provides additional information.
Options shown in the guide range from “upscale restaurants to casual eateries, including sushi, tempura, ramen, okonomiyaki, and onigiri (rice balls), all of which are popular with international customers. It also features restaurants that offer stunning night views, restaurants dedicated to sustainable practices, and bars that uniquely capture the essence of Japanese culture,” a visitors’ bureau spokesperson said.
“These details will help business travellers enjoy Yokohama’s culinary culture in their post conventions and promote local branding to encourage return visits.”
