Chubb Vietnam wins Asia Super Team

Annual Meet Taiwan incentive travel contest sees eight teams from across Asia compete, with team from insurer winning package worth US$50,000

INCENTIVE and conference organisers from Chubb Vietnam have been crowned Asia Super Team champions in a contest that promotes Taiwan as a business events destination.

The insurance company’s business travel planners competed against eight other teams from six Asia destinations to scoop a Taiwan incentive travel package worth US$50,000.

Now in its eighth year, Asia Super Team contest used a Cloud Travel Interactive Platform for the first time as teams were prevented from travelling to Taipei due to pandemic travel restrictions.

The platform was a significant upgrade for the Meet Taiwan-organised contest – under the Bureau of Foreign Trade – and provided a virtual arena based on the Future Land theme.

POLL RESULTS ENDORSE TAIWAN
A SURVEY of business travel organisers from eight countries across Asia, Europe and the United States on intentions for incentive trips saw more than 60 per cent of respondents ranking Taiwan as their top choice.
The Meet Taiwan survey showed that the main consideration when selecting an incentive travel destination was destination safety and epidemic prevention policies.
“This clearly represents the international recognition of Taiwan’s epidemic prevention performance, indicating greater potential for attracting overseas incentive travel groups to visit Taiwan after the pandemic,” a spokesman for Meet Taiwan said.

Podcasts, blog posts, treasure hunts, virtual painting and other exclusive, innovative challenges were also incorporated into the contest for the first time.

Results were decided by online voting and adjudicated by a panel of experts with Chubb Vietnam achieving the highest overall score. The company will be able to use the US$50,000 incentive package once the pandemic eases enough to allow travel to Taiwan.
