Starwood rolls out ‘beck and call’ for flexi generation of planners

Starwood has launched a new app that will allow guests greater flexibility during their on-site meetings.

Available to Starwood Preferred Guests (SPG), members can contact staff via the ProMeetings app to request services during the course of a meeting or event. Services can range from a coffee break to changes in lighting or any additional technology needs.

Senior vice president of SPG and Digital Chris Holdren commented, “Like our guests, our meeting planners and SPG Pro members are inherently mobile and want solutions that match the way they live their lives today. Our new ProMeetings app gives them the personalisation and flexibility they need to deliver flawless experiences for their attendees.”

Still in its pilot stages, the app has been rolled out in the W Singapore Sentosa Cove and the Westin Singapore together with some properties in the United States. A full global launch is due to follow in 2016.

Starwood Hotels and Resorts manages close to 500 hotels in the Asia Pacific region under brands such as the St Regis, Westin, Le Méridien and Sheraton.
