MAKATI CITY The Fairmont Makati and Raffles Makati, debuting by year-end – the first upscale hotel opening in the Philippines’ leading financial precinct in 20 years – will share a ballroom able to fit up to 1,260 guests for cocktails or 680 for a banquet.

The two properties, which occupy a new-build structure in the heart of the popular Ayala Commercial Centre, also share three breakout rooms accommodating from 60 to 90 participants.
While the hotels enjoy distinct driveways, the Champagne Ballroom is accessed through the Fairmont lobby.
“We are targeting small to medium-sized meetings and events,” Eugene Tamesis, the hotels’ director of sales and marketing, informed Mix.
Other venues around the hotels lending themselves to more intimate netoworking, Tamesis reported, include the famous Long Bar and Writers Bar of Raffles Hotel in Singapore, which will be transplanted to Manila, as well a yet unnamed restaurant and the lobby lounges of both Fairmont and Raffles hotels. Alfresco seating in the outlets will be offered.
