FCM TRAVEL is strengthening its meetings and events operations in Greater China with the appointment of Peter Chau, as the company launches dedicated Meetings & Events (M&E) services in Hong Kong amid growing demand for corporate events and incentive travel across the region.
Based in Hong Kong, Chau brings more than three decades of experience in the MICE sector and will support FCM M&E’s expansion in a market it sees as a key growth opportunity within Greater China.

The appointment comes as FCM broadens its M&E offering in Hong Kong, adding services that cover venue sourcing, event and group travel, managed meetings and event management. The business supports clients across the full event lifecycle, from conferences and incentive programmes to product launches, awards ceremonies and networking events.
FCM said its meetings and events business across Greater China nearly doubled year on year in FY26, with a rebound in Hong Kong’s business events sector. The city received 2.51 million MICE visitors in 2025, a 7 per cent increase compared with the previous year, according to official figures.
Manpreet Bindra, FCM Meetings & Events Leader, Asia, said the company viewed Hong Kong as an important market for further expansion.
Hong Kong continues to strengthen its position as one of Asia’s leading business events hubs, and we see significant opportunity for FCM in this market.”

“Businesses are becoming more intentional about how and why they bring people together and increasingly expect their meetings and events to deliver tangible value. With Peter on board, we’re well positioned to bring our services to a broader client base in Hong Kong, backed by his deep local expertise and our capabilities across Greater China and globally.”
Chau has worked on programmes across Asia, Europe, North America, Africa and Oceania, developing expertise in client management, supplier coordination and event delivery. His industry accolades include being named a Switzerland M.I.C.E. Specialist by Switzerland Tourism in 2017 and receiving an Individual Award from the Taiwan Tourism Bureau in 2015.

Speaking about his new role, Chau said: “I’m excited to join FCM and be part of the expansion of our Meetings & Events business in Hong Kong. I look forward to working closely with clients to understand what they want to achieve and drawing on my experience to deliver events that meet their business objectives and create a lasting impact.”
FCM said the Hong Kong expansion reflected increasing demand from organisations seeking greater oversight and measurable returns from their meetings and events programmes, supported by technology and data-driven planning tools.
