Newly rebranded iEvents Plus Summit enters Shanghai

An incentive and event conference in China featuring international speakers has been rebranded and takes place at the Sheraton Shanghai Hongqiao Hotel, July 7-8.

The iEvents Plus Summit was previously called China Conference, Meeting & Incentive Travel Forums (CCMIT), China Corporate Travel Management Summit (CCTM) and jointly organised by tourism authorities in Hangzhou, Suzhou and Merisis Consulting.

Merisis Consulting hosted both summits last year in Hangzhou and Suzhou, in March and September respectively. Both cities are about two hours away from Shanghai by high-speed train.

Those two events attracted more than 900 attendees and delegates including buyers from Fortune 500 companies across the pharmaceutical, automotive, electronics, FMCG and other sectors. As well as China, participants from countries including Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa and Australia attended.

The iEvents Plus Summit represents will feature an event management and incentive travel management summit with content directed at planners, PR companies, corporate marketing departments and buyers. Content will include the sharing of conference planning case studies, workshops, one-on-one interviews, off-site excursions, site inspections and buyer-supplier networking.

Speakers due to appear include Peter Gray, of the Australia Incentive Association; Olga Navaro, executive director of SITE; Chen Wei, president of China Smart MICE Group, and Carl Wen, special event director with Amway.

Other highlights include how to build industry-wide B2B event procurement platforms, more than 200 corporate and agency buyers.
