MyCEB confirms Tan Mei as CEO

MALAYSIA Convention and Exhibition Bureau has confirmed Tan Mei Phing as its chief executive after she served in the acting-CEO role for the past six months following the resignation of her predecessor.

Tan’s appointment comes as MyCEB prepares to exhibit at Imex Frankfurt, which takes place May 20-22. The move makes her the bureau’s first female chief executive.

She stepped up to the acting-CEO role in August 2024 after the departure of Azman Tambi Chik who had been in the role less than a year. The change in leadership had also seen former government minister YB V. Sivakumar brought in as MyCEB chairman

MyCEB described the appointment as “pivotal” for the organisation as it “expands its influence and impact on the global stage”.
