MALAYSIA Business Events Week has unveiled its speaker line-up and an initiative to discourage single-use plastics at conferences.
MBEW 2019, organised by Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), is scheduled to take place on August 28 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur under the theme: Progressive Momentum.
To encourage sustainable event practices and reduce the use of plastic and non-recyclable items, MBEW 2019 is introducing a hashtag campaign (#mbeNOWASTAGE) and participants are encourage to bring their own water bottle to the conference.
The conference agenda is designed to allow participants to share knowledge, establish new and influential contacts and be involved in the business events industry through series of talks led by experts.
Speakers include:
Pat Schaumann, president of Schaumann Consulting Group, and author of Breaking the Code to Healthcare Compliance”, 5th Edition;
David Fotheringham, director and consultant with Asia Ability teambuilding experts;
Jonathan Low, leadership coach with Global Success Learning Academy;
Mark Stanley, training consultant, Asia Ability.
MBEW, now in its fifth edition, coincides with the World Tourism Conference (WTC) 2019, which will be held August 26-28 and will serve as a “platform to explore new possibilities and potentials” in the tourism sector.
