SINGAPORE The Herbalife Asia-Pacific Extravaganza 2012 staged a massive weekend event at the Singapore EXPO, attended by 24,000 independent distributors from 25 countries across the region.
The gathering featured discussions on the latest nutrition trends, product training and business-building initiatives. The nutrition company hosts several of these training forums during the year.
“We emphasise the personal development of our growing pool of independent distributors in the region,” said William Rahn, managing director, Herbalife Asia-Pacific. “The Extravaganza is a forum for exchanging success stories and contributes an overall business model for them to succeed in their business.”
Meanwhile, the Casa Herbalife programme, part of Herbalife’s commitment to help improve the lives of needy children, recived a welcome boost. The Extravaganza also helped raise funds for its 16 Casa Herbalife programmes in the region. Combining this with the efforts by local distributors at the recent Herbalife Singapore 9th anniversary, a total of S$213,410 (US$166,368) was raised and donated to the Singapore Children’s Society and other charities throughout the Asia-Pacific.
Occupying 36,161 sqm at Singapore EXPO and all the rooms in its new wing, MAX Atria, the event required careful logistical planning and concise execution. It was the largest Herbalife group that the venue had hosted to date. Herbalife also chose the facility for the first Herbalife Asia-Pacific Extravaganza in 2003, which attracted 10,000 participants.
“Our events services and operations teams worked closely with Herbalife to ensure that every event component – from registration to conference and plenary session, proceeded with clockwork precision to provide a smooth and memorable experience to delegates,” said Aloysius Arlando, chief executive, Singex Venues.
