Australian turf club head joins ICC Sydney

The International Convention Centre Sydney has appointed Lynell Peck as Director of Culinary Services. Peck joins from the Australian Turf Club as Executive General Manager for Hospitality and has over 30 years in hospitality and event management.

Peck will head up the new venue’s Culinary Plan, which aims to deliver creative, locally supplied and seasonal cuisine that complies with AEG Ogden brand values.

Chief Executive Officer ICC Sydney and AEG Ogden Group Director for Convention Centres, Geoff Donaghy said:

“Combining Lynell’s Sydney expertise with the extensive international convention centre experience of our General Manager, Adam Mather-Brown, is a critical ingredient in delivering on ICC Sydney’s creative culinary philosophy. Dished up with the warmth of Sydney hospitality, the culinary team will deliver uniquely local, five star food and beverage experiences to every event.”

Peck said the focus to deliver best in class standards in presentation, delivery and creative cuisine is what attracted her most to the role. 

“From day to day operations to exclusive functions, ICC Sydney will set new standards in culinary services across the board. Our premium benchmark will be experienced across staff training and product sourcing, presentation and imagination,“ she said.

AEG Ogden has recently appointed three new directors of operations for the new facility: Malu Barrios as General Manager, Ivan Sanhueza as Facilities Manager and Johnny Naofal as ICT Manager.
