LEADERSHIP changes at ICC Sydney see general manager Adam Mather-Brown moving up to chief executive and director of business development Beverley Parker taking on the added role of deputy CEO.
Mather-Brown has held leadership positions at five convention centres over 26 years, 20 of which with ASM Global, the venue management company operating ICC Sydney. He replaces Geoff Donaghy who retired this year after a 30-year career with ASM.
In addition to her new role as deputy chief executive, Parker continues as the venue’s director of business development and as ASM Global (APAC)’s director of marketing.
Harvey Lister, ASM Global (APAC) chairman and chief executive, said the appointments were part of the organisation’s long-held succession plans and a natural progression for experienced professionals who were part of the team to launch and manage ICC Sydney for its initial 10 years of operations.
“Adam’s experience is exceptional, making him the ideal person to lead ICC Sydney into its second decade of operation, upholding ASM Global’s bold aspiration for ICC Sydney to be one of the world’s best performing convention, exhibition and entertainment centres,” Lister said.

“Beverley is an exceptional executive who has experience both in venues and sales and marketing. She has been in an executive role at ICC Sydney as director of business development for more than 10 years and has spent a significant part of her career in senior management roles with hotels and other organisations within the Darling Harbour precinct.
“Beverley’s significant contribution to the commercial success of ICC Sydney over the last decade puts her in good stead for her role as deputy chief executive officer and will be of great benefit to the ongoing development and success of the venue,” Lister added.
