Celebrating 50 years of relations between the People's Republic of China and France, French luxury hotel brand Sofitel produced a contemporary ballet and dance performance, A Magnifique Journey, which saw the last leg of its China tour at the Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16. The event was hosted in the Sofitel Macau's Baccara room and hosted over 160 guests including the Deputy Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, Lilas Bernheim. The performance was choreographed by artistic director Lisa Souissa, who has worked for companies including Cirque du Soleil and Dragone Entertainment Group, and featured scenes from 1960s Paris as well as cultural representations of China.
