Grand Hyatt Singapore has announced the appointment of Raymond Tan as director of Events.
Specialising in business events and incentives, Raymond was previously director of MICE Event Services at Resorts World Sentosa Singapore until 2015 end. Speaking about his aim in creating events, Tan said "my belief is that apart from having a great product, it is extremely important to have effective service delivery and create memorable guest experiences for all events – and I hope to bring this different perspective to the team and deliver it to our guests."
He also has expertise in organising international sporting and entertainment events, having worked at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and as part of the inaugural Singapore Youth Olympics team, together with the International Olympic Council, government agencies and other private sporting entities.
Raymond will be heading the events team at Grand Hyatt Singapore, managing the event sales and planning for its 16 event venues, featuring residential-style designs over three floors.
