Hyatt’s Hong Kong flash sale until 5pm today; Cordis is 5; Accor opens Mondrian in Seoul; Bali convention centre, and marvels at Mandarin Oriental

A FLASH sale offered by the four Hyatt hotels in Hong Kong offering up to 50 per cent off on accommodation, F&B, events and spa treatments is due to end today.

Accor takes sbe to Seoul
Accor and European hospitality company sbe has opened the first Mondrian hotel in Asia. With new hotels slated for the French destinations of Bordeaux and Cannes next year, the Mondrian brand expects to grow its lifestyle hotel portfolio to 15 properties by 2022.

Mondrian Seoul Itaewon has 296 guest rooms and a 867 square metre ballroom with integrated LED screen and five stylish meeting rooms. There is also an outdoor pool with viewing deck overlooking the city, the Privilege rooftop bar, while Rumpus Room and Blind Spot offer more intimate after-work settings.

Bali embraces new normal
The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali has been awarded the official New Normal Verification Certificate by the Governor of Bali. The certificate is a requirement from the Bali Tourism Department for all hotels in Bali to verify operations comply with new normal protocols.

Alongside the Westin is Bali International Convention Centre, which has also undergone rigorous cleanliness, health and safety protocols with body temperature checks, and ample hand sanitising stations around the venue. The Mangupura Hall is pictured above.

Measures also include clinical sterilisation of chairs and tables, frequent sanitising of high touch points, flow markers to ensure social distancing, and amenities that are sanitised after each use. All associates interacting with guests wear masks and gloves, and the food handlers are highly trained in safe food preparation and service.
