Accor sets target for July re-opening of most properties; flash-sale from Sino; Dorsett, Silka in Malaysia, and Avani Kalutara Resort in Sri Lanka

Accor anticipates that more than 70 per cent of its global network of hotels will reopen by the start of July.

Renewed interest in travel demand has been seen in recent weeks with hotel reservations doubling, the group announced.

In Asia Pacific, more than 940 of the group’s 1,228 hotels are now open, representing over 76 per cent of its properties, with more being added each week.

Following recent government announcements, Accor said it expected this trend to continue.

To provide guests with greater flexibility, ALL-Accor Live Limitless has extended its cancellation policy and ensures its customers the possibility to keep their benefits related to their status and points.

Dorsett and Silka Hotels in Malaysia

With the easing of travel restrictions beckoning in Malaysia, Dorsett and Silka Hotels (main picture) is offering packages to suit business travellers, staycationers and Malaysians returning to the country.

At Dorsett Grand Subang there is the Solitary Package priced from RM250 nett per room night in a Deluxe Room, subject to a minimum of seven days’ consecutive stay.  Based on single occupancy, the package is valid till end of September 2020

Sweet Home Kuala Lumpur by Dorsett Kuala Lumpur is priced from RM150 nett per room nett and is available until September 30 (inclusive) and comes with a daily RM20 nett F & B credit, a free canister of the hotel’s signature gluten free chocolate chip cookies, free cancellation up till noon on day of arrival and upgrade option to a Family Room for an additional RM50.

Dorsett Residences Kuala Lumpur guests are entitled to a further 10% discount for stays of seven nights or more.

Over at the federal administrative city of Putrajaya, Dorsett Putrajaya is offering a special re-opening room only rate from RM160 nett per room night, valid till December 31.

For guests seeking a self-retreat getaway, there is the Self Retreat Package priced at RM300 nett per room night inclusive of three meals per day.  Package is valid for a minimum of seven days’ stay in either a Dorsett or Deluxe room and is valid till July 31.  If a longer stay is needed, ask for the 14-day stay package priced at RM280 nett per room night.

Sri Lanka calling

Avani Kalutara Resort in Sri Lanka has completed a renovation with new facilities and a new look to including to guest rooms and suites, bars and restaurants, as well as a ballroom offering breathtaking views.
