NICK JEFFREY is the new general manager at Gold Coast Exhibition Centre (GCEC) in Queensland, Australia.
Jeffrey was acting GM for five months, having previously been executive manager of corporate services. In all he has been with GCEC for seven years and has spent three decades in the travel, hospitality and property development sectors.
Areas in which Jeffrey has worked in prior to GCEC included roles such as chief financial offer in listed public companies and large privately owned businesses. He also managed the sale of an international online travel agent to the Flight Centre Group.

He was also responsible for key stakeholder engagement at GCEC and over the past five months has helped ensure smooth of operations of the business with exceptional service delivery and ongoing client satisfaction, a spokesperson for the venue said. Jeffrey will now lead GCEC into its next phase.
