1 – Fork and View Uluru Billy Tea & Tjukurpa
What’s so special? The brand new Uluru Fork and View experience offered by SEIT Outback Australia in partnership with ATG Downunder offers a quirky and unique dining option in the very heart of Australia. It is a specially designed and modified double-decker open-top coach, with the lower deck having been transformed into a kitchen and the upper deck into a 44-seat open-air eatery, offering uninterrupted views of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
The mid-morning Uluru Billy Tea & Tjukurpa tour travels around the base of the iconic Uluru monolith. Embracing the local Aboriginal culture, it begins with a fully guided walk along the Mala walk to Kantju Gorge.
The tour concludes with a visit to the Uluru Cultural Centre. Pick-ups and returns from Ayers Rock Resort, the accommodation provider at Uluru, are included.
What’s on the menu? Options range from continental to hot breakfasts, all produced fresh direct from the on board kitchen. An outback-style morning tea is also served on the upper deck with sweeping views of Uluru. It includes freshly baked damper (a type of Aussie ‘bush’ bread) served with jam and golden syrup, traditional billy tea and freshly brewed coffee.

2 – Featherdale Wildlife Park
What’s so special? A breakfast with koalas concept was put into action when Chinese groups from Nu Skin, Amway and baby-care product suppliers from other parts of Asia visited the park. Now it’s a new fixture at the zoo and continues to be enjoyed by groups.
Featherdale specialises in animals native to Australia, and groups can meet koalas or baby kangaroos close up. For Breakfast with a Koala, groups should be at their tables by 8:15am before the koala arrives with its keeper for a 15 minute encounter.
What’s on the menu? The Australian staple Vegemite, for a start! This comes with continental-style brekkie including croissants, fruit, Danish pastries and a clip-on koala as a souvenir.
Where? The park is in Doonside, in the Western Suburbs, about a 45 minute drive from downtown Sydney.

3 – Kurrawa Terrace, Gold Coast
What’s so special? The Queensland resort town may busy preparing for the 2018 Commonwealth, and catering to more serious conference groups, but it’s hard to resist the lure of Goldie’s golden beaches.
It’s not only surfies and sun worshippers who have made the beach their own here. City authorities and Gold Coast Business Events have teamed up to offer an indoor and outdoor venue complete with tucker, including – you got it – breakfast.
What’s on the menu? For starters there’s a casual breakfast for a minimum group size of 100. Kurrawa’s Terrace’s catering partners are Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise and Wine & Dine’m catering. Alcohol is off the menu at breakfast time, so save yourselves for cocktails or the sit-down dinner when the sun goes down.

4 – Showtime Events, Melbourne
What’s so special? It’s the home of the Long Black and Melbournites love creating their own varieties of breakfast tea too. Now delegates can enjoy a great start to the day along the banks of the Yarra River in the South Wharf area of the city.
South Wharf Events have been impressing organisers from China down to Victoria with a creative flair for catering at former dockside buildings that have been transformed into event and
bar-restaurant space.
Al fresco breakfasts along the quayside provide a refreshing start to the day and are ideal for corporate and incentive groups seeking a change from convention centre cafes, or the fast pace of a hotel breakfast buffet.
What’s on the menu? South Wharf’s Cocktail-Style Breakfasts have been a hit, particularly with Australian-based groups holding networking sessions before work. Smoothie stations have been developed for this market. Assistant general manager Abigail Napper says the Melbourne-style brunch makes an ideal “slow and relaxing feast alongside the riverside” for groups. About 400 hosted buyers were seated along the promenade during AIME with long tables set and catered to by South Wharf Events.

5 – Vardon Avenue, Adelaide
What’s so special? It may be one of the smaller state capitals, but Adelaide can still do things big – and that goes for breakfast settings. By working with event agencies, city officials and Vardon Avenue restaurants, Adelaide Convention Bureau can have the street sectioned off for an open-air breakfast.
With vendors setting up stalls outside their premises, entertainers can be arranged to make sure the market-theme start to the day is a breakfast your groups will remember fondly.
What’s on the menu? Muffins galore, fruit, freshly squeezed juices, that essential coffee, delightful savouries and lots more. Produce is sourced from the rich abundance of farms and fisheries around South Australia brought to Adelaide Central Market daily.
Where? Vardon Avenue is a 10 minute drive, or 20 minute walk, from Adelaide Convention Centre.

6 – ICC Sydney
What’s so special? International Convention Centre Sydney has a passion for peak performance, and has made this central to conferences and events hosted at the new Darling Harbour venue. Feeding this philosophy to delegates is the task of executive chef Tony Panetta and his team who believe in sourcing sustainable and local produce to ensure delegates’ alertness and energy levels are maintained for a productive conference.
What’s on the menu? ICC Sydney’s 2017 Menu Collection starts the day with choices ranging from Breakfast Bites, Breakfast on the Go, and the Performance Stand-up Breakfast to the slightly more formal Sydneysider Seated Breakfast and the Breakfast Bar that comes with one of the existing brekkie packages. Selections include quinoa, puffed millet lemon myrtle yoghurt and jalapeño bread to burritos, cured ocean trout and bagels with truffled eggs.
