HOW every foreign traveller – including event and incentive groups – enters Thailand is all set to change.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand and Thai embassies worldwide are advising that beginning May 1, the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) must be completed online by non-Thai nationals within three days of their arrival.
The TDAC application is free of charge and is a separate document from a visa. Travellers are required to provide passport number, contact information along with accommodation details and a health declaration.

Applicants then receive a confirmation email with a QR codes that serves as a digital entry token – no TDAC on arrival… no entry into Thailand, warn immigration officials.
“This new digital system makes immigration processing faster, easier, and more secure – no more paper forms,” declares a message by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
Reports from Europe, however, say the move comes amid an expected surge in international visitors who watched the Netflix series The White Lotus, which is set in Thailand. Luxury resorts in Thailand have also re reported an increase in International enquiries due to the on-demand TV series.
