THE ENTIRE ICMS Australasia team gathered at the newly opened Nyaal Bunyal Geelong Convention and Event Centre for the company’s annual staff conference.
Celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2026, it was considered apt that the oldest PCO in Australia would visit the country’s newest convention centre. And Nyaal Bunyal and Geelong certainly exceeded expectations, according to the group.
Professional development over the three days included a presentation from a psychologist trained in high pressure environments to equip staff with the latest knowledge and science to up their skills of resilience, and a deep dive into AI and the benefits it brings to ICMSA and its clients.
In-between conference sessions the team were out and about enjoying uniquely Geelong and Bellarine Peninsula experiences including an Amazing Race, Geelong style, and a sustainability activity at The Farm Shop and Jack Rabbit Winery.
A 60th Anniversary Themed Dinner brought out plenty of creativity at the Higher Mark venue at Geelong Stadium.
ICMSA Owner and CEO, Emma Bowyer, said gathering the company’s staff for the annual company conference was an ideal way for staff to “recalibrate before they hit the home straight leading to the end of the year”.
“They have just come off the back of eight events during the month of June, taking our total number of conferences for the first half of the year to 17,” Bowyer said.
The conference is a great way for the entire team to come together as one. We continue to grow, adding four more staff this year who are headlong into managing events that will deliver another record year for us as a company.”

Bowyer described the Nyaal Bunyal Geelong Convention and Event Centre and the region as exceptional.
