The long-awaited Wynn Palace casino resort is now open for business in Cotai, Macau.
Steve Wynn, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Wynn Resorts, unveiled the US$4.2 billion property on the evening of August 22.
“Wynn Palace is arguably the most beautiful hotel in the world, which is a wonderful thing to be able to say,” says Wynn.
“But it is not in London, Paris, New York or Rome. It is in Cotai, in Macau, and sits here for all the world to come and see. It’s our gift to the community, to the public. It will be here forever and it’s perhaps unlikely we’ll see a place of this scope and artfulness in our lifetimes again.”
The 1,706-room resort houses over 2,440 sqm of multi-purpose meeting space, including a 1,620 sqm ballroom and four meeting rooms. The ballroom has capacity for 960 pax in banquet style.
Other resort highlights include: the eight-acre Performance Lake and fountain show, which uses 1,195 water jets; air-conditioned Sky Cabs; and the largest spa in Macau, featuring 22 treatment rooms.
Thousands of works of art adorn the property, collectively worth over US$125 million.
The adjoining Wynn Palace Esplanade comprises over 18,000 sqm of luxury retail.
