ANYA It’s no secret in China that Sanya in southern Hainan Island is the preferred playground of the country’s high net-worth individuals.
Aware of these customers’ special needs, deluxe resorts – of which a number have cropped up in recent years – such as Conrad Sanya Haitang Bay are pulling out all the stops to make their stays memorable, if not productive.
The mostly-villa product, which opened in January 2011, 28km east of Sanya City and 45 minutes from the airport, is putting up the Conrad Presidential Villa for exclusive management meetings.
Measuring 3,000 sqm, it has five bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, an expansive living room and dining room where discussion set ups can be arranged, followed by catered meals, and a private garden with swimming pool enjoying unobstructed ocean views for cocktails and barbecues.
Once the top executives are done with their planning strategies and want to meet their troops, they can do so using the resort's facilities such as the grand ballroom or any of five function rooms.
