Taiwan corporate travel roadshow in Osaka and Fukuoka

Meet Taiwan touched down in Osaka and Fukuoka, Japan for a six-day MICE roadshow from June 27 to July 3 aimed at promoting Taiwanese business events to Japanese buyers.

MICE representatives hosted include Asia Concentrate Corporation, Palais de Chine Hotel, Taiwan Tour, Ably Conference & Exhibition Co, Shuang-Hsiang PR, An-Jia Travel Agencies, among others. Meet Taiwan reports that the show generated bookings that will host over 1,000 delegates across different tours this year.

The Osaka and Fukuoka seminars hosted 100 local business representatives, media and MICE professionals, securing bookings with Japanese cleaning product manufacturers Sanikleen Kyushuu and direct marketing firm Assuran.

Deputy Managing Director of MEET TAIWAN Agnes Lan spoke about the importance of Japanese MICE business in Taiwan: “Japan is our main customer for corporate travel, and we’ve noticed that Japanese corporate travellers often find our railway culture and historical resources interesting. We’ll be offering more customised programmes and hope to present you the best of Taiwan.”

Japanese tourists have consistently ranked highly among foreign visitors to Taiwan with numbers reaching 1.64 million in 2014, marking a 15 per cent increase on 2013.
