JAKARTA The Indonesia capital's newest luxury accommodation option, Keraton at The Plaza, does not have a full complement of meeting spaces. The 140-room hotel, which forms part of a commercial-retail complex including also the Plaza Indonesia mall, Grand Hyatt and The Plaza office block, however, has a boardroom in the lobby for six to eight persons in a traditional seating, and four Keraton Suites (see photo) for more creative functions.
Measuring between 136 to 140 sqm, the suites, featuring a bedroom and living room, can be rearranged to cater for a meeting for a maximum of ten or a dinner for 18. Wifi access is almost instantaneous when switched on.
At the right price point and season, the hotel could be available for a buy out, general manager Giles Selves told Mix. “We’d be very open to that sort of proposition like a government delegation that might want to hold an exclusive event or conference.”
Keraton, which opened in April of this year, is a member of Starwood’s Luxury Collection.
