AUSTRALIA’S first female prime minister is due to deliver the closing remarks to the first day of PCMA Convening Leaders Wednesday in a broadcast from Marina Bay Sands Singapore.
Julia Gillard was sworn in as the 27th prime minister of Australia in 2010 and is seen as having broken the “glass ceiling” by becoming the first woman to serve in the role.
Gillard’s talk will be delivered via the Global Broadcast Centre at Marina Bay Sands and topics will include the themes of social impact, leading in challenging times and the importance of mental health in work and life.

PCMA Convening Leaders, which runs until Friday, is this year organised in a hybrid format with a global broadcast produced with the support of Singapore Tourism Board.
Three-time Pulitzer-prize winning journalist Thomas Friedman will deliver the keynote address covering the issues facing the world as the United States transitions to a new presidency in the aftermath of the Capitol Building in Washington DC being overrun by protesters.
Paul Tambyah, the incoming president of the International Society of Infectious Diseases, and Singapore Tourism Board chief executive Keith Tan will also address the conference.
