HANOI Companies looking for a classy place to treat clients and top executives for cocktails should check out the newly renovated Summit Lounge at the 20th floor of Sofitel Plaza Hanoi.
The new look includes a spacious wooden terrace, fibre-optic ceiling, a dedicated DJ booth and a long, sleek bar. Since re-opening in April, the lounge has been hosting a string of buzz-worthy events – from bubble shoot-outs, nostalgic '90s parties to toga nights. Its 360 degrees view of the city skyline is a major draw.

Besides the refreshed interiors, Summit Lounge’s is revitalised by a totally new menu that includes a selection of 40 culinary cocktails and upscale hawker fare – a modern interpretation of Southeast Asian street food. Furthermore, Hong Kong-based music producers have been commissioned to compose the lounge’s signature soundtrack.

“The space was originally intended to be a penthouse delivering the best view in Hanoi,” says hotel general manager Antoine Lhuguenot. “we decided to take that concept of lofty luxury and rework it into a fabulous lounge that a greater number of people could enjoy.”
The venue draws the most patrons at sundown when the landscape is at its most mesmerising and the evening breeze allows them to enjoy the outdoor terrace.
Summit Lounge can be booked exclusively for corporate events. It has a capacity of between 100 (seated) and 220 (standing).
