Palazzo Versace unveils year-end holiday packages

QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA Stylish venue options await corporate guests at Palazzo Versace. The designer hotel is offering special group rates on their restaurants and function rooms until December 31, 2012. 

Planners can select from six of Palazzo Versace’s event spaces to hold festive gatherings in a luxurious ambience. 

Formal functions can take place at the hotel’s signature restaurant, Vanitas, over Chef Martin Glutz’s four-course menu. Four diners or more can enjoy the fine restaurant’s elegant setting and view of the lagoon pool at A$180 (US$186) per person, inclusive of a glass of Veuve Clicquot upon arrival.

Overlooking the Gold Coast Harbour and marina is the Vie Bar & Restaurant. The venue, which includes alfresco areas, welcomes groups of 10 or more at A$90 (US$93) per person, inclusive of a three-course menu and cocktail on arrival.

At AU$99 (US$103) per person, groups of at least eight people can also enjoy Il Barocco Restaurant’s famed seafood buffet, featuring fresh Coffin Bay oysters, Balmain bugs and local Spanner crabs.

Grander and more customised celebrations can be held at the hotel’s function rooms. La Finestra creates an intimate setting for groups of 40, at A$95 (US$98) per person. The rate includes complimentary half-hour of chef’s selection canapés, three-course menu and cocktail on arrival.

La Medusa Ballroom, which offers a larger-than-life feel, can host groups of at least 50 guests at AU$105 (US$109) per person, with half an hour of chef’s selection canapés as well as a seafood buffet feast.

Groups can also choose to hold cocktails and dine under the stars at the alfresco Fountain Terrace, offered to a minimum of 50 at A$100 (US$104) per person. The package includes hot and cold canapés, as well as a glass of Domain Chandon upon arrival.
